Born on 14 December 1940 at the beginning of World War II, Harmon's genes were perhaps coded in such a way that destiny turned him into a Crime Buster extraordinaire with the Singapore Police Force. Subsequently, he became the most sought after private eye, winning not only the National Day Honours but also a prestigious International award.

Harmon was instrumental in cracking numerous hardcore underworld criminals, thugs and syndicates. No wonder he was awarded the Public Administration Medal way back in 1972, being the youngest Detective Station Inspector to be honoured in such a way.

Singapore's unofficial 007 became a hero in India when the six-year-old Indian Institute of Security and Safety Management awarded him the title of "The Most Celebrated Private Detective of the World" during an International Seminar in December 1995.

Evidence such as lip-stick marks, footprints, sound of shoes and fallen hair will never go undetected by this clever detective. Whether it is anti-social behaviour, infringement of intellectual property rights, marriage problems, business investigations or general surveillance, Harmon never failed in his duty to reveal the truth. The 34 Medals and Commendations, including the Public Administration Medal from the President of Singapore and "The Most Celebrated Private Detective of the World" award, speak highly of this 56-year old man in white, with glittering gold, who has added prestige to our Nation.
